Shaping professional orientation together: A review of the second workshop series
The aim of DIGIBO Best! is to strengthen and sustainably improve vocational orientation in schools.
After analyzing the status quo of their vocational orientation together with the participating schools in the first series of workshops, the second series of workshops focused on working on individual school topics. Each school has the opportunity to go into greater depth in precisely those areas that are important for its further development.

Diverse topics - individual approaches
So far, 16 schools have taken part in this second series of workshops. The range of topics chosen shows how different the needs and challenges at the schools are and how important it is to work together to develop practical solutions
- Five schools focused on the topic of teaching staff. The focus here was on how the entire teaching staff can be more closely involved in career guidance. The focus was on topics such as collaboration and communication.
- Two schools opted for the topic of parental work. How can parents be better integrated as partners in vocational orientation? This question was discussed intensively.
- Two schools worked on their cooperation with companies. Together, we developed strategies to strengthen cooperation with regional companies and build practicable bridges into the world of work for pupils.F
- Four schools looked at their BO concept. The aim was to further develop existing concepts, make them more practical and sustainable in the long term.
- Two schools dealt with the area of evaluation. How can the quality and effectiveness of vocational orientation be systematically reviewed and further improved?
- One school focused on the topic of digital materials and explored how digital tools can make career choice processes more modern and effective.

We were particularly impressed by the open and friendly atmosphere with which the schools welcomed us. It is noticeable how much the school administrators, teachers and stakeholders involved are willing to improve and optimize the vocational orientation of their students.
